Ormewood Park

What makes this neighborhood so special? Of all the Beltline neighborhoods, Ormewood Park remains the most historically intact. The neighborhood owes its great bones to an extension of the trolley line in 1891. Eagle-eyed railroad fans can still spot its path along Woodland, Delaware and Moreland Avenue.

Development soon followed after World War I, bringing along whimsical Victorians, Craftsmans and even prefab, catalog homes. After World War II, Ormewood experienced another growth spurt, this time in the form of brick, ranch-style homes. These days, prices are rising thanks to newcomers charmed by the historic streets, larger lots and well-developed tree canopy. Of course, nearby retail and cultural corridors like Glenwood Park, Madison Yards, East Atlanta Village and the Beltline don’t hurt either.

For a little fun, check out Little Azio’s, Spoon and the annual Ormewood Park Makers Festival, celebrating local craftsmen, live music and more. If you decide to stay, we suggest the Farmhouses at Ormewood Park—a new luxury home development built right along the Beltline.
